There are two categories for the 2020 awards: The CIO50 and the best ICT-enabled programme that helps solve a community or social issue

First category: The CIO50

The CIO50 will showcase stories of innovation and leadership at organisations across different market sectors. There are two key pillars on the questionnaire which are: Business Innovation and Leadership.

Under the Innovation pillar, the nomination will describe the technology innovation/s introduced over the past two years that have changed the way the business operates.

Under the Leadership pillar, the nomination will describe the ways in which the technology leader has collaborated and influenced the organisation and its leadership team.

The word count for responses to questions under each of the two pillars – Business Innovation and Leadership – was no more than 800 words (1600 words in total for both pillars).

The nominee will also share the most important lesson they learned throughout their CIO career (400 words maximum).

Nominations for the 2020 CIO50 are now closed, the results will be announced at our virtual event on 14 October 2020.

Second Category: ICT-enabled community project

In 2020, we will once again honour and recognise the leading organisation that has developed a technology-enabled initiative that helped address a community or social issue.

This is a separate category and recognises an organisation that harnesses technology to help address social or community issues. It will detail the impact of the programme in addressing the issue and the metrics used to determine its success over the past 12 months.
